About the Max Planck Postdoc Program:

The Max Planck Postdoc Program offers exceptional postdoctoral researchers a structured framework for career development within the Max Planck Society. Key benefits include a guaranteed contract of at least three years, targeted mentoring involving experts from various institutes and industries, and access to comprehensive training through the Planck Academy. Additionally, a career workshop within two years helps fellows explore diverse career paths in science, industry, or entrepreneurship.

Applications are accepted twice a year, opening on March 1 and September 1, each remaining open for six weeks. However, in 2025, the application period begins on April 1 as a one-time exception, as the program was only recently launched. ​
